Sophia Pletcher

Hi everyone! I'm Sophia (she/her/hers) and I am so excited to be the SGA President for the year 2023-2024! Also, I'm a Biology major with a concentration in Mathematical Biology. Outside of St. Olaf, I love to kayak, watch movies, have dinner parties with friends, and read. As the SGA President next year, I'm very focused on creating an inviting SGA environment for all students, increasing accessibility to resources, and removing some common road blocks to student advocacy. To me, my role is to connect students with on-campus resources, advocate for change on campus, and make sure students genuinely feel heard. I am always happy to answer any questions or chat with anyone, so stop by the OSA to say hello!

Chau Truong

"In my capacity as the SGA Vice President, my primary responsibility is to foster and facilitate productive discussions within the Student Senate in my role as the Chair. I am dedicated to aiding fellow students in generating creative ideas and implementing meaningful changes across the campus through brainstorming sessions and collaborative efforts. To put it plainly, my purpose is to stand as a resource for you—the student body—in driving positive changes. Beyond my involvement in SGA, I am also deeply enthusiastic about my small business, Tin Tea. Additionally, I contribute to my community as a member of the Board of Directors in the Northfield Chamber of Tourism and Commerce, and during my free moments, I actively support local economies and enjoy spending time with the Minnesota outdoors."

Harry Olander

Hey everyone! My name is Harry Olander and I am your SGA Executive Assistant. I use he/him pronouns and I am a senior chemistry major with a concentration in Latin American studies. I am on the golf team as well as an EMT on campus! I enjoy spending time outside, working out, and listening to music. As executive assistant I am here to support the president and vice president as well as support SGA as a whole. I am primarily responsible for what goes on in the SGA senate chamber. This will be my fourth year in the senate, so I am very excited to help y'all create a fun and productive community!

Rachel Du Four

My name is Rachel Du Four and I’m the Marketing and Communications Director for SGA! As part of this role, I oversee all SGA publicity and create marketing materials to advertise events, elections, and initiatives. Outside of SGA, I’m a class of 2025 psychology major. I’m also a soprano in The St. Olaf Choir and St. Olaf Chamber Singers, and I hold a position as a Social Media Content Creator for the St. Olaf Marketing and Communications Office. In my free time, I enjoy photography, thrifting, and watching movies (my favorites being 2000’s chick flicks and thrillers/horror).

Helen Olson

Hi! My name is Helen and I use she/her pronouns. I am serving as the Student Organizations Committee (SOC) Coordinator this year! I am a senior Biology and Spanish major from Seattle, WA. When I am not in school, you will most likely find me in Alaska processing salmon, enjoying the ocean, and photographing my experiences. Joshua Sansom

Hi Oles! My name is Joshua Sansom, I am a junior here at St. Olaf and am extremely excited to be on the Student Government Association (SGA) executive board. I am from Johannesburg, South Africa and play golf for the college as well. This year I will be serving the student body as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). My role includes coordinating the SGA budget and helping out on the finance side of the Office of Student Activities (OSA).

Fenton Krupp

I am excited to be in my third year leading the Board of Regents Student Committee (BORSC). I am a senior computer science major and I also serve as St. Olaf's Public Relations Fellow. I love how BORSC can connect students to leadership at St. Olaf including the President, her leadership team, and the Board of Regents, and I'm proud of what we've accomplished over the past few years, such as driving an increase to the college's student work budget and securing at 15% increase in flex dollars for students this year.

Elijah Sonntag

Hey Friends, my name is Elijah Sonntag, and I am honored to serve you as your VN Coordinator for the 2023-2024 school year! I am a junior chemistry major, SHC of Rand Hall, involved in undergraduate research, and of course, you can catch me Swing Dancing as one of the Swofficers (Swing Dance Club Officers on campus). I also thoroughly enjoy the outdoors, especially when it comes to camping. My role on campus consists of service outreach to the Northfield community and campus and helping our current volunteer organizations thrive. I would love to help anyone achieve their volunteer idea and support your mission to make a better campus and world. Jana Kraleva

Hey! My name is Jana (Yana) and my pronouns are she/her/hers. After two years of having various roles on the team, I am honored to serve as the PAC Coordinator this year. I love learning outside of the classroom and I am especially happy to do so through conversations and discussions with my peers and authority figures. Many PAC projects aim to create that learning experience, both for the larger student body and the PAC members.

Geovani Pena

My name is Geovani Pena, but everyone calls me Geo. I am a Senior Biology major from Houston, Texas. I am the DISC Coordinator for the 23-24 school year. This means that I will oversee and work hand-in-hand with the multicultural organizations on campus. This will be my 4th year in DISC, and I look forward to expanding campus participation within DISC organizations. Other things I do on campus are I am a Community Building Manager and the President of the Men's Volleyball Club Team.

Al Ashir Intisar

Hi everyone, my name is Al Ashir Intisar, and I am a junior from Bangladesh majoring in Computer Science. I will be serving as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the SGA during the 2023-2024 academic year. As the CTO, my role is to maintain and develop SGA's digital resources, including the Oleville website. Besides my work and studies, I love playing volleyball and hanging out with my friends.
