St. Olaf’s English Second Language Club offers the opportunity to volunteer at Waano Learning Center. Waano, an after-school tutoring program in Faribault, provides mentorship and homework help for Somali middle and high school students. Our volunteers support students' academic progress through one-on-one tutoring sessions. Currently, Waano supports students Monday-Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to p.m.7 pm, and volunteers typically sign up to tutor one day a week.
