Ole Thrift

With funds from the Finstad Entrepreneurial Grant, four students opened the Ole Thrift Shop in 2013.

Lyla Amini ’14, Sudip Bhandari ’14, Emily Hoar ’16, and Corey Ruder ’16 received startup funds from the Finstad Entrepreneurial Grant in 2012 to implement their idea of the Ole Thrift Shop. Ole Thrift continues today and profits from sales are given back to the St. Olaf community. The Ole Thrift Shop Sustainability Grant awards $3,000 each year to St. Olaf students or student groups pursuing opportunities they would not otherwise be able to afford. This fund has been used to kickstart other student-led sustainability initiatives, such as The Mug Shelf.
