Co-CoordinatorsNate Bishop: In those days of old, when Gods and Titans walked upon the Earth, and beasts of sea and air terrorized all life, there was but one haven. With ovens forged from the great fires of Molokini and stones heaved by Giants from the quarries of Aswan, The Lion’s Pause was known to all for its air of tranquility in an ever treacherous world. However, the years of peace were disturbed by the Great Diluvian War, and the Lion’s Pause fell into disrepair, ravaged by the strifes of goodness receding. There was a prophecy, though. It was said that there would be a boy, born to no woman, raised by jaguars, and fed by the rays of the sun, and that he was destined to restore to the Lion’s Pause her former glory. With valenced face and a wild look in his eye, he would raise up the ancient standard and the Pause would regain its righteous role as heaven on Earth. And the generations could but only murmur his name, “Nate.” Dana Goetsch |

Security DirectorsFrancis Maginn What you all need to know about Francis and I… a story of love and adversity… Francis and Nicholas were born as identical twins on a dark and cold January night in Flin Flon, Manitoba in 1980-something. At the age of ten, Francis was tired of looking so damn handsome (like his brother Nicholas) that he began saving up seal-pelts to eventually trade for a full-body makeover. Two-years later and a near eradication of northern white seals, Francis went under the knife, extending his arms, legs and spine by 18-inches each with titanium bars. The surgeons even went as far as to incorporate the most course seal pelts as a hair transplant to give Francis a thick mane of facial hair and use seal blubber to plump-up those cute little cheeks of his. Nicholas’ and Francis’ parents were appalled and Francis was exiled to Texas where he spent the next 4-years BBQing lemon-pepper wings. It seemed as if the brothers would never see each other again, but in 2011, under the might of Nate Bishop and Dana Goetsch, the two brothers were reunited, together again, as co-directors of Pause Security. |

Games & Entertainment Manager, Reservations CoordinatorKatie Lauer: Katie Lauer prepared for her role of Games and Entertainment Manager with countless childhood nights spent battling her two brothers in Super Smash Bros and Pokemon Stadium. To this day, she allegedly has a pet Pikachu in her dorm room. No one knows for sure. When not found in front of an N64, Katie can be found wandering the aisles of craft stores. She was once caught frolicking around in a pile of multi-colored glitter and holiday stickers. The craft store cop decided to let her go with a warning. As the Pause GEM, she absolutely loves the people she works with and wouldn’t want to be caught eating any other pizza in the world!! Hattie Andres: Hattie Claire Andres began her love affair with Google Calendars at a young age in her hometown of Seattle, WA. When not heckling people over Pause reservations, she can be found serving mocktails at Northfield Retirement Center, eating pizza bagels, and staging performance art in the Reference Room. |
WebmasterAllison Schedin: A rare species indeed, the Webmaster is very shy and rarely leaves its den, emerging only to scavenge for nachos and an occasional romp around Buntrock. It uses its exceedingly pale complexion to confuse any predators and will begin spouting HTML and C++ to scare away anyone who appears threatening. While the Webmaster usually prefers flight over fight, it has been known to attack violently when cornered. Approach with caution and perhaps a chocolate milk. |
