As representatives of the student body, the President and Vice President work closely with the coordinators of the eleven branches of SGA to organize countless events throughout the year. They meet regularly with the deans and President of the college to discuss issues of concern for the student body. And they lead Student Senate – a forum for open discussion of student initiatives and projects. We have identified a variety of issues which we hope address this year, including building school spirit, adjusting parking policy, advocating for the development of the college’s online infrastructure, and providing students with more information when selecting courses. But the list shouldn’t stop with just our ideas – we want to hear your ideas. What type of programming would you like to see? What would you like President Anderson or the Regents to know? How can we make St. Olaf even better?

SGA is here to serve the students. Help us out by getting in contact with us below or dropping by the Office of Student Activities to tell us what’s on your mind.

Both of us have been involved in SGA for a number of years, so we are looking forward to leading the organization into the future. We love meeting our fellow Oles and are eager to help you implement your ideas. Jon is a senior Math and Philosophy double major from Chanhassen, MN, and Klara is a senior Religion and Philosophy double major from Fergus Falls, MN.
