What We Do
Volunteer Network is committed to providing volunteer opportunities for students that benefit both St. Olaf and the larger community. It is managed by a group of students and financially supported by the CAP fee. Our goal is to create and offer a variety of volunteer programs to students; including one-time events and others that provide longer lasting participation.

It provides a wide range of services for children, the elderly, people with special needs, pets, and more. If you are interested in becoming involved with any of the programs, or would like to start your own volunteer program, please contact us at 507.786.3821. We will put you in touch with the program that best suits your needs or perhaps help you discover some other interests. Feel free to stop by the Volunteer Network desk, in the Student Activities Office, with any questions or suggestions!

Hey Everyone, There's some great events that we need volunteers for this weekend!

First of all, a Highway Cleanup will be taking place. Everyone will meet outside Buntrock at 2:10, leaving at 2:15 to cleanup some nearby highways with Carlton students. All are welcome. This should not last past 4:30 if you need to get back early. Contact with any questions.

Secondly, Student Volunteers are needed to help out at the Parents Night Out program, also on Saturday, Oct. 25th, from 5:45pm - 9pm. A great opportunity for volunteers interested in child care, or for those who just enjoy hanging out with kids. This program gives parents the opportunity to have an evening together. It will take place at St. Johns Church in Northfield (address: 500 3rd St. W), contact Julie Brehmer at 645-4429 or jbrehmer@stjohns-elca.org. Be ready to have lots of fun!

Lastly, also taking place at St. Johns Church in Northfield, Male students are needed to help staff Wednesday evenings, 5-6pm for "Rock". You will help with bible stories, games and recreation, crafts and there's free pizza every Wednesday! Contact Julie Brehmer at 645-4429 or jbrehmer@stjohns-elca.org.
