Give to the Max Day!

For the second time, St. Olaf is participating in Give to the Max Day, a 24 hour, online philanthropic giving campaign sponsored by GiveMN. GiveMN is a collaborative venture to increase overall giving to Minnesota non-profit organizations. This year, they are organizing the second annual Give to the Max Day from 12 a.m. on November 16th through midnight, in the hopes of breaking their own online giving record!

Why does this matter? In order to keep St. Olaf running (and not increase tuition even more!), the college relies on donations. Thanks to the generosity of students, faculty, staff and alumni before you, we have awesome amenities and programs.

That’s why St. Olaf is participating in Give to the Max Day for the second time. This year, GiveMN is offering several prizes: The top two nonprofits with the most number of donors will receive a $20,000 and $10,000 prize, AND throughout the 24 hours, one donor each hour will be chosen to have $1,000 added to their gift!

Student Alumni Association is teaming up with Partner’s in Annual Giving to put on a Carnival in the Pause on Tuesday, November 16th from 4:00 to midnight. All you have to do is log on to giveMN.org November 16th and donate $10 to St. Olaf, then either print off your receipt and bring it with you or donate at the front door to enjoy all the fun activities! We will have lots of free carnival food, face painting, bingo, a cake walk, sumo wrestling and plenty of chances to win $300 worth of prizes!!

Please consider donating to St. Olaf on Give to the Max Day. Maybe you give up that pizza this weekend or a couple of lattes from the Cage and put that money toward keeping St. Olaf a great place to go to school.

Let’s be the top organization and win the $20,000 for St. Olaf!
