The Political Awareness Committee (PAC) of the Student Government Association is pleased to welcome Mr. Karl Rove to Skoglund Auditorium on Thursday, Oct. 1 at 7pm.
PAC is anticipating a full-house, so here are some things to keep in mind as you make plans:
Doors open at 6:30pm. There is only one ½ hour to get people in and seated. We will have ushers present to help fill the space from front to back – please do not leave empty seats. Please be patient and courteous.
Bags will be checked. To expedite entry, please leave unnecessary bags at home. There will be a ‘no bags’ line for those who qualify.
There will be Northfield Police and St. Olaf Public Safety Officers in the facility.
Parking will be at a premium. The Northfield Reservists will be assisting with directing traffic before and after the event.
Mr. Rove will speak for 30 minutes and entertain approximately 30 minutes of a question and answer period. Persons wishing to ask a question will be asked to submit the question in written form, and questions will be asked via lottery by a moderator. Cards will be provided for persons to submit questions both prior to the event and following his comments. Handwriting must be legible and a name must be noted on the card for it to be considered a valid question.
The event will be streamed live on the St. Olaf website; it will also be on the ‘big screen’ in the Lion’s Pause Mane Stage.
Audience members are welcome to bring still cameras (non-professional) into the event. Use of a camera must not interfere with others watching the speech.
